In recent years, E-bike (electric bikes) stealing cases in a certain prefecture-level city remained high, which badly affected the safety of people’s property. Maywide worked hand-in-hand with partners to build an application project of E-bike on Internet of things. Based on the convergent network of broadcasting & TV, the project used advanced technologies such as Internet of things and big data, to achieve functions of vehicle tracking, cross-correlation video recording, surveillance and control, early warning, etc. It built an all-round and three-dimensional system for cracking, prevention, management and control that achieved efficient management and control, guarded against theft and made good tracking, so as to improve efficiency of policing service and enhance people’s sense of security.
The project was composed of four parts as special APP for data acquisition, management platform of data acquisition, call center management platform and subscriber APP. It eliminated the "information isolated island" and augmented "data channel", so as to integrate all information further, share and link all business data. Since it was put into use, the system has made outstanding achievements that more than 200,000 E-bikes were installed with required devices. Meanwhile, the incidence rate of criminal cases decreased by 11.3% year-on-year while the rate?of?solved?criminal?cases increased by 18.6% year-on-year.
The project sped up convergence and innovation of CATV network, 5G new technology and new business type. It steadily promoted the mode of big data + smart police, facilitated precise management of city, improved smart city services and promoted development of new business type.
